Russia vetoed a statement of the UN security Council on the missile tests in North Korea.

The attempt of the UN Security Council to adopt a statement condemning the recent missile tests of the DPRK and seriously warn the country’s leaders from further missile launches, failed due to Russia’s veto.

“Wednesday evening, April 19, the Russian representative in the UN security Council voted against the proposed text of the statement, reports news Agency AFP. According to diplomats, Moscow has insisted on included in the text words which would have stressed the need to resolve the conflict with North Korea through dialogue,” – said in the message.
