The Russian team won two medals in a classic skiing sprint at the Olympics-2018 in Pyeongchang in ten minutes. The first award was won by Julia belorusova, then Alexander Bolshunov.

In the men’s sprint was won by the leader of the overall world Cup, Norway’s Johannes Hasflat Klaba, at the age of 21 became the youngest Olympic champion in the history of ski racing. Bolshunov lost a photo finish to the current world champion in the sprint Federico Pellegrino from Italy.

In qualifying 21-year-old Bolshunov, from bronchitis after missing the Olympic competition in the skiathlon, won the third place .
