MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. The eightfold world champion in sabre Alexey Yakimenko lost to Ukrainian Andriy berry with a score of 11:15 in the match of 1/8 final of European championship which takes place in Tbilisi. Last Yakimenko from the Russian fencers ended the fight in the individual tournament fencers.

Earlier, in the first round (1/32 finals), another Russian fencer Vladislav Pozdnyakov lost Belarusian Kirill Kirpichev. On the 1/16 finals finished the fight Dmitry Danilenko, yielding to the Italian Samele Luigi, and Kamil Ibragimov weaker-than-German Maximilian Hartung.

Personal competitions of fencers became the second discipline in the current championship, where the Russians remained without medals. Earlier, the Russian sablistka also entered the top three winners in the individual championship. To date, the tournament has been played six sets of medals .
