The speaker of the foreign Ministry noted that Russian diplomats in the United States in need of moral support.

The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on air of Russia 1 that the conditions to which the Russian diplomats in the United States, in particular Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the USA Sergey Kislyak, can be called harassment, reports RIA Novosti.

“The conditions in which (work − ed.), Russian diplomats, they are very difficult. I think you can already understand that these people need including moral support of all of us… It is not an information campaign, it is bullying Ambassador Kislyak, genuine persecution,” said the diplomat .

The speaker of the foreign Ministry added that the harassment from the United States treats Russia as a whole .

“It’s not only dubious, but all of us, because he is not there himself, he is not the Russian foreign Ministry, he represents our country”, − said Zakharov.

Recall, Kislyak since 2008 holds the position of Russian Ambassador to the United States. The diplomat was involved in a scandal with the Russian intervention in the American elections.

So, adviser to the President of the United States Donald trump on national security, Michael Flynn, resigned after the White house announced that Flynn is not fully told the US intelligence about the content of the conversation with Kislyak. In addition, the attorney General Jeff sessions recused himself from the investigation of Russian relations environment trump after news of his meeting with the Russian Ambassador.

Earlier, the former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said that Kislyak will soon leave his post. To this the Russian foreign Ministry said that the rotation of Russian ambassadors are the responsibility of the President of Russia, but not “a retired us official”.
