MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. Russian mission control Center (MCC) will hold on Wednesday a correction of the altitude of the International space station (ISS), told TASS in the Mission control center.

“In accordance with the flight program August 9, 2017 the planned correction of the orbit of the ISS. The maneuver will be carried out by the inclusion of the propulsion system of the cargo vehicle “Progress MS-06”. The beginning of the maneuver is planned at 15:25 MSK”, – said in the MCC.

Correction of the ISS orbit is aimed at the formation of the ballistic conditions for the September landing of the descent vehicle “Soyuz MS-04” and preparation for docking with the ISS spacecraft “Soyuz MS-06”.

Following correction of the orbit of the station will be held on August 25.

Aboard the ISS are Russian cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin and Sergei Ryazansky, and American astronaut Peggy Whitson, Jack Fisher and Randolph Breznik and European astronaut Paolo Nespoli.

Landing of “Soyuz MS-04,” urchihin, Fisher and Whitson is scheduled for 3 September 4:25 GMT. The launch of “Soyuz-MS-06” with Russian cosmonaut Alexander by Misurkin and American astronauts mark Vande Hai and Joseph Aqaba is scheduled at 0:17 GMT 13 Sep.
