Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Elena zerkal called the Russian objections about the presence at the International court of justice jurisdiction on the suit of Ukraine on violation of the conventions on the suppression of the financing of terrorism and on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination by delaying the process in order to avoid responsibility.

“Yesterday Russia has shown its attitude to international law. This disregard for the law and the people of Ukraine. Is delaying the process in order to avoid liability for their unlawful conduct. This is a disfigurement of the principles of international rights in order to legitimize their destructive activities. And finally, when all this fails, the course is the denial of all of the known facts”, – said mirrors in a speech to the court in the Hague on Tuesday.

The Deputy Minister stressed that Russia has committed numerous violations of international law, and now seeks to avoid responsibility for all, without exception. The diplomat also paid attention of judges that the Court order the restoration of the activities of the Mejlis in the Crimea, and also about education in the Ukrainian language remains the performance of the Russian side.

“Russia does not want this court considered the case of Ukraine on the merits. But she is trying to create an alternate reality and to manipulate the facts. Let me be very clear: the version of the facts, which you heard yesterday – nonsense. Russia requires premature to discuss the facts this week, because at the stage of consideration on the merits, with a full and proper examination of all evidence, Russia can’t defend their behavior,” – said the diplomat.

In her opinion, Russia continues to distort the case, presenting him as politically motivated and contrived.

“This week you are faced with the question is the question of jurisdiction. Mr. Chairman, the attorneys of Ukraine will present clear arguments, our case before the court properly,” he said zerkal.
