JSC “Russian Railways” and the administration of Kemerovo region signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation for the years 2017-2020. Signatures under the document have put the head of West Siberian Railways, Anatoly Reger and the Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev.

The document sets the priorities for the implementation of a number of social, investment and production programs of JSC “Russian Railways”, promoting the development of the region. In addition, the agreement provides for joint work in the sustainable and safe operation of rail transport, the development of suburban transport and transport infrastructure.

“In 2016, we have practically resolved the issue with continuous loading, went to a record 250 million tonnes of cargo. With 90% of all goods in Kuzbass we ship to the Western-Siberian railway”, – said Aman Tuleyev.

“The line from the beginning of the year is with growth last year of loading, work reliably for the export of coal . And the results that we have today, achieved thanks to the joint work with the authorities, our partners. Annually growing collection in the East, over the past five years the transportation of goods to the East has increased in 2,5 times”, – said Anatoly Reger.

The volume of investments of JSC “Russian Railways” infrastructure development of Kuzbass region of West-Siberian railway in 2017 will be increased more than two times in comparison with the year 2016 and will exceed 4.5 billion rubles.

In the region there will be held a complex of works on modernization of almost 82 km of the railway, totaling about 1.9 billion rubles. A significant portion of funds (over 1 billion) in the current year, the company aims at the reconstruction of the tunnel on a plot of Artyshta – tomusinskaya. The tunnel construction is on schedule. Its commissioning on one of the most congested parts of the West-Siberian railway will allow to increase the throughput direction.

Order 537 million rubles will be allocated for the construction of avalanche structures on the site of the Novokuznetsk – Tashtagol. To update the equipment and devices of economy of power supply, communications, automation and telemechanics – still about 240 million rubles.

The signed agreement contains provisions on joint work aimed at protecting the environment, improving traffic safety and prevention of injuries of citizens in the infrastructure. A number of interventions for the prevention of accidents at crossings. So, in 2017-2020 planned laying rezinotkanevojj flooring of 19 railway crossings. In turn, the administration ensures that the implementation of the road repairs will be given to the arrangement of avtopoligon to railway crossings, to consider the possibility of widening the carriageway at the entrances to them.
