MOSCOW, July 22. /TASS/. Russian cyclist Alexei Shchebelin won the fourth stage ultra stage race road racing Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme, which took place between Perm and Yekaterinburg.

Shchebelin overcame the distance of 349 km in 9 hours, 29 minutes and 51 seconds. The second finished German Pierre Bischoff (9:32.56), in third place, finished the race Dane Peter Sandholt (9:38.42). In the General classification Shchebelin with a score of 51 hours, 1 minute and 3 seconds left in leaders of the race, ahead of Bischoff (51:04.08) and Sandholt (51:09.54).

In women, the only remaining participant, the representative of the Philippines Shangrila Rendon, went the distance for the second time in a row. American Thursday Gervals club had discontinued participation in the marathon.

The fifth stage of the Yekaterinburg – Tyumen starts on Sunday, participants have to overcome 313 kilometers .

Multi-day race with a total length of more than 9200 km consists of 14 stages, it was launched on 18 July in Moscow and finishes on 10 August in Vladivostok. Cyclists will cross the climate 5 and 7 time zones, over 80 km of slopes and will spend over three weeks in the saddle.
