ARKHANGELSK, March 30. /TASS/. Russian shipyard at the end of 2017 will be ready to start construction of an icebreaker with a capacity of 120 MW, told TASS Deputy Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Osmakov on the sidelines of the International Arctic forum.

“We’ll be ready to build at the end of this year,” he said , noting that before the end of the year will culminate in the preparation of the technical project.

According to Osmakova, period a final decision about whether to accommodate new orders for icebreakers, and which machines will be ordered by 60 MW or 120 MW is 2017-2018.

To build an icebreaker with a capacity of 60 MW Russian shipyards can start at any time, since the competence in such construction they have, the Deputy Minister said.
