MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. The Russian women’s team volleyball team lost to Turkey in the quarterfinals of the European championship, which takes place in Georgia and Azerbaijan. The match ended with a score of 0-3 (25:27, 18:25, 20:25).

In the semifinals of the Turkish volleyball team will play against Serbia.

In another quarterfinal match of Azerbaijani women beat the Germans 3-0 and in the semifinals will meet with the team of the Netherlands.

The Russian team is the current champion of Europe. In total, she has six victories at the continental championship (1993, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2013, 2015). Before the current tournament in the coaching staff there was a planned change: Vladimir Kuzyutkin on a post of the head coach was replaced by his assistant Konstantin Ushakov, Kuzyutkin was appointed senior coach.

The championship will end on 1 October .
