The office of Sergey Lavrov complained about the non-constructive position of Kiev.

The Russian foreign Ministry has warned Russian citizens about possible problems when crossing the Ukrainian border on 1 January 2018. This is stated in the official comments on the Agency’s website.

“The citizens of the Russian Federation intends to implement in the near future a trip to Ukraine, be aware that when passing control on the Ukrainian border they have problems can occur due to the presentation of bodies of state frontier service of Ukraine, the new additional requirements, the statement reads. – In order to avoid possible provocations recommend that before you travel to Ukraine to clarify the conditions and procedure for crossing the border in the diplomatic and consular institutions of Ukraine” .

The office of Sergey Lavrov also complained that Kyiv has repeatedly requested on the nature and manner of innovations, but never received an answer to the questions “contrary to the provisions of the current intergovernmental agreement on visa-free trips of citizens from 1997 to the principles of civilized communication States”.

The Russian foreign Ministry called such actions of Ukraine’s “unconstructive”.

As reported Корреспондент.neton 1 September the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted NSDC decision about the introduction of biometric controls at the border.

The document stipulates that from 1 January 2018 begins functioning national system of biometric verification and identification of citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and persons without citizenship when crossing the border.
