The next meeting of the contact group is held in Minsk on 2 July.

The negotiating parties in the trilateral contact group on settling the situation in Donbas have not yet come to a common opinion concerning the “bread of truce.” This was after a group meeting on 19 June told journalists in Minsk by the OSCE special representative in the pipeline Martin Sajdik, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“On a truce. Despite the obvious interest of the parties in the so-called bread to the truce, they, unfortunately, today are unable to come to a consensus on the text of the joint statement. I hope that we will reach it next time or until the next time”, – said the diplomat.

He stressed that the truce and mine action activities are necessary to the civilian population of Donbass.

The next meeting of the contact group is held in Minsk on 2 July.

In 2014, immediately after the annexation of Crimea, in Eastern Ukraine, Russia has begun armed aggression. Fighting underway between Ukraine’s Armed forces on the one hand, and the Russian army and Russian-backed militants, who control part of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, on the other. Officially, Russia does not recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite Ukraine presented the facts and evidence.

In the conflict zone periodically declare a truce. At midnight on 18 April 2019 Ukraine unilaterally imposed a ceasefire in the Donbass, the militants violated it the first day.

On 3 June the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Minsk Leonid Kuchma announced that Ukraine would initiate a ceasefire in the Donbass at the time of harvest.

Following the meeting on 5 June, Kuchma said that the trilateral contact group has until June 19 to prepare proposals on ensuring the ceasefire in the conflict zone, which will be spelled out a ban on the return fire. The next day he explained that the words “not to shoot back” meant not to open fire in response to the attacks that fighters from residential areas or other places where they can be affected civilians.

Following the meeting of the contact group on 19 June, a spokesman for Kuchma Darka olifer reported that the subgroup on safety instructed to study the preparations for the “bread peace”.
