Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp Airlines (Kyiv) on October 17 launched direct regular flights from Kharkiv and Lviv to Prague (all Czech Republic).

“We have taken another step in implementing our strategic development program the charts of the regions. Now, Lviv and Kharkiv even easier to discover the Czech Republic. However, for us, remains an important challenge to open Ukraine to the world”, – said General Director SkyUp Airlines Eugene Hojnacki.

Flight Kiev-Prague runs from October 17, 2019 and will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. The cost of the ticket without Luggage – from 1487 UAH.

Flight Lviv-Prague runs from October 17, 2019 and will be implemented two times a week: on Thursdays and Sundays. The cost of the ticket without Luggage – from 983 UAH.

“We appreciate the cooperation with SkyUp Airlines and are happy to increase the number of flights between the Czech Republic and Ukraine. Only in 2018 is almost 240 thousand passengers travelled on flights between the two countries. I believe that the new routes to Kharkov and Lviv will appreciate not only a large number of Ukrainian passengers, but also Czech tourists interested in exploring new directions,” the report cited the Chairman of the Board of Directors of airport Prague, Vaclav Chehar.

LLC “Airline “Schiap” was registered in Kiev in June 2016. The founder is LLC “ACS-Ukraine” Tatyana and Yuriy Alba, who also owns the tour operator JoinUp!

According to the Unified register of legal entities and physical persons-entrepreneurs, the ultimate beneficiaries of “Schiap” is Alexander (50%) and jury (50%) Alba.

The company started Charter operations since the end of may-2018. Currently, its fleet consists of nine aircraft: six Boeing 737-800, two Boeing 737-700 and one Boeing 737-900 ER. By the end of 2019 SkyUp expects to receive another Boeing 737-900 ER. In General, the airline operates 47 routes (32 regular and 15 of the Charter). The percentage of scheduled flights is 61% of the total number of flights.

As of October 1, 2019, the company carried 1,568 million passengers since the inception of the flight program.
