MOSCOW, may 19. /TASS/. The European championship in rhythmic gymnastics kicks off on Friday in Budapest. The Russian team at the tournament will be headed by double world champion Alexandra Soldatova.

In the Russian team in Budapest also included Dina and Arina Averina. Dean will perform with a Hoop, clubs and ribbon, Arina – ball and clubs. Soldatova in the capital of Hungary will perform in the all-around with a Hoop, ball and ribbon.

On the first day of the tournament Friday will be held competitions in command of the tournament with a Hoop and a ball on Saturday – clubs and ribbon. Sunday will be the finals on individual apparatus. The European championship will be held in the hall named after the famous boxer of Papp Laszlo sports arena in the Hungarian capital .

At the upcoming European championship in command of the tournament will the results of group competitions of the juniors, where the Russian team will perform Olga Sadomskaya, Christina Telyatnikova, Darya Perevozchikova, Xenia Markova, Elizaveta Bohackova and Diana Menzhinskaya.

Soldatova and Averina replaced Mamun and Kudryavtsev

In the absence of the speakers at the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, leaders of the national team of Russia’s Margarita Mamun and Yana Kudryavtseva, in this season are successful 18-year-old Soldatov and sister Averina. Dina Averina won the individual all-around at the tournaments of Grand Prix series in Moscow and French Tie, and the April stage of the world Cup in Tashkent. Soldatova was not equal at the Grand Prix in Marbella and Cup stage in Italian Pesaro, whereas Arina Averina at the end of April won the world Cup in Baku.

European Championships in rhythmic gymnastics will be held in 33 times. Representatives of Russia won the title in the individual all-around eleven the previous European Championships – the strongest gymnasts of the continent became Alina Kabaeva (five times), Vera Cecina, Evgenia Kanaeva (three times) and Kudryavtseva (twice). Since 1999, the Russians aren’t given the victory in group exercises.

A year ago in Israeli Holon in the individual all-around ahead of Kudryavtseva, Mamun, which got teammates revenge at the Olympics. The Russians won in Holon and group all-around, while Junior superiority of the Russian girls won the team tournament, and four separate exercises.
