Moscow, 23 April 2018 21 April 2018 in Primorsky Krai took place the opening ceremony of the Seventeenth youth Delphic games of Russia. As of this moment, Games are attended by 1862 Delfina in the composition of delegations from 69 subjects of the Russian Federation. Events of the Seventeenth youth Delphic games of Russia dedicated to the Year of the volunteer (volunteer), conducted in the Russian Federation in 2018, are held in the framework of the Decade of childhood in the Russian Federation and dedicated to the Year of culture in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The address of the Seventeenth youth Delphic games of Russia has received the greetings of the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of Russian Government D. A. Medvedev, Chairman of the Federation of independent trade unions of Russia M. V. Shmakov. Also received greetings from I . Combor, mayor of the city of Ružomberok (Slovak Republic), in which from 20 to 24 August 2018 will be the Second open youth European Delphic games.

With welcoming speech to the participants, judges and guests turned acting Governor of Primorsky Krai A. V. Tarasenko, Director of the International Delphic Committee, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Delphic Council of Russia V. N. The ponyavin, declared the Games open.

During the ceremony, a theatrical performance with the participation of creative teams of Primorye territory, a parade of delegations of Russian regions. The start of the Delphic games in 2018 was marked by the symbolic lighting of the Delphic fire and fireworks.

Today began the contest in nomination “Design of clothes”. And tomorrow, April 22, will begin auditions for all other categories of Games at the same time will take place the thirteenth international conference, which will discuss the development of the Delphic games as an effective tool for search and support of young talents, Patriotic education of youth and the preservation of heritage volunteering. Special attention will be paid to the interaction of the digital economy and culture

From 20 to 25 April 2018 in Primorsky Krai are the Seventeenth youth Delphic games of Russia. This year’s contest and festival program of the Games consists of 31 the category of classical, folk and contemporary arts, among them piano, violin, theater, fine arts, Bayan/accordion, saxophone, academic, folk and pop singing, classical, folk and modern dance, journalism, DJ, culinary arts, art education, national art crafts and crafts, circus, etc.

The direction of the delegations of subjects of the Russian Federation in Vladivostok is carried out using the grant of the President of the Russian Federation on development of civil society provided by the presidential grants.

The official date and place of birth of the Games is considered to 582 BC, Greece. Together with the Olympic, Delphic (early name – Pythian) games were banned more than 1,600 years ago and was revived only in the early XX century: from 1927 to 1930 in Greece, there was the Delphic festival, which has become a complete analog of the ancient Pythian games. However, the Second World war was forced to temporarily stop holding the Higher forum of arts.

Work on the revival of the Delphic games was continued in the 70-ies of XX century in the Soviet Union and took place in the framework of the implementation of the creative activities of youth organizations. The experience was one of the prerequisites for the establishment of a National Delphic Council of Russia (VAT Russia) and to develop the modern format of the Delphic games.

In the Russian Federation for the Delphic games are held since 1999. Since 2009, in collaboration with the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on science, education and culture is promoting the Games as the Russian initiative. A new stage of development of the event began after the decision of the National coordination Council for supporting young talents of Russia from 30 October 2014.

With the participation of 27 countries in 2000 in Moscow the National Delphic Council of Russia (IVA, Russia) was held the First world Delphic games of modern times. In 18 categories took part 938, and the jury included representatives of 13 countries. For today in the activities of the International Delphic Committee (headquarters in Moscow), attended by representatives of 115 countries.

In 2014 we have launched a new format of Games of the European Delphic games. The starting events of this type were the First open youth European Delphic games (Volgograd, Russian Federation), which was attended by representatives of 26 countries.

To date held twelve youth Delphic games of the countries-participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

At the national level can be run by individual States, which are the qualifying competitions to be able to form teams at the international Delphic competitions.
