Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow is ready to discuss the whole range of questions on cyber security with Washington and hopes for a positive US response to the proposal to hold a dialogue on this issue.

a positive U.S. response to its proposal to hold a dialogue on this
the question, as stated in an interview Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergey
Ryabkov.

According to Ryabkov, the issue of security
in the information space is complex and consists of the fight against “classic”
cyber crime such as banking card fraud, and violation of
intellectual property and issues of “political hacking” recently
raised in the USA .

“[Political hacks]
for us is not taboo, although it is marked by extreme tension
thanks to the efforts of the team of the former President Barack Obama. We are ready
to discuss with the Americans the whole range of these issues,” Ryabkov said.

He added that the Russian
authorities offered to hold a dialogue on these issues with the Obama administration
however, no reply was received.

“Now we have repeated this offer
I hope that the answer will be positive,” – said Ryabkov. Recall that the U.S. suspected Russian hackers is that they helped to win Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
