TASS, October 10. About 2 million applications from fans to purchase tickets for the championship game 2018 world Cup in Russia entered the International football Federation (FIFA). About it reports a press-service of the organization.

According to FIFA, are leading in the number of applications sent to the Russian fans (about 70%) but the proportion of applications from overseas fans rose to 30%, and the leaders in the number of applications of foreigners are Germans. Earlier it was reported that in the final game of the tournament, FIFA has received about 132 thousand applications, about 90 thousand – in the opening match of the championship.

The first period of the first phase of sales runs from 14 September to 12 October, during which viewers can submit requests to purchase tickets that does not guarantee receipt . If the number of applications exceeds the number of seats available, the tickets will be allocated by draw. Every fan who applied will be notified of its status until November 16. The second period of the first phase of sales will begin on November 16 and will end on 28 November, tickets will be sold in the queue.

The second phase of sales will open after the official draw for the final stage of the world championship, which will be held on December 1, 2017. He, like the first phase, will include a sales period by random draw (from 5 December to 31 January) and a period of sales in the queue (from 13 March to 3 April 2018). In addition, after completing the four stages will open the sale “at the last moment” when the tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. This stage starts April 18 and ends July 15, 2018 – the day of the world Cup final.

World Cup matches will be held from 14 June to 15 July 2018 in Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd, Rostov-on-don, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg and Saransk.
