The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina advanced to the second round of the Open championship in Thailand, beating Nederlandse Bibiano of Shops.
The Ukrainian won in two sets.
“Today was a bit windy, but we were in the same conditions. I tried to focus on his actions on the court. I think the match was good, I tried to fight for every point. Played safe and managed to win.
My next opponent is a Lefty, so I need to be prepared for the fact that the ball will rotate differently. I will need to move quickly and be ready for anything,” said Svitolina after the match.
