The Ministry of defence of Russia has invited NATO to participate in scheduled for April 26-27 in Moscow sixth conference on global security, as reported to journalists on Wednesday the Deputy Minister of defense of Russia Alexander Fomin.

“We have sent the invitation to NATO
in particular, General Peter Paul [Chairman of the NATO Military Committee]. To

Sandri of a military liaison mission of NATO will represent the Alliance at the conference in
Moscow”, – said Fomin.

“The first meeting will be
devoted to modern problems of global security, in particular
international terrorism, he added. – In the agenda of the meeting will include
the situation in the middle East, North Africa and Afghanistan that
were at the height of the war on terrorism .”

According to Fomin, at
the conference is expected to more than 700 guests, including 500 foreign
of representatives as “representatives of the 78 States, in particular the Ministers of defence more
20 countries have already confirmed their participation”.

Senior members
some international organizations are already planning to speak at the conference. His
confirmed participation by the secretaries-General of the Organization for security and
cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO),
Deputy secretaries-General of the United Nations and the League of
Arab States, as well as Vice-President of the International Committee of the red
Cross ICRC).
