Titled the decision of the arbitral Tribunal in Paris in the case of Oschadbank (Kyiv) against Russia in connection with the total destruction of the Bank’s investments in the Crimea after the annexation of the Peninsula is expected in 2018, said the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Elena serkal.

“We expect a positive outcome in the case, which was initiated by Oschadbank against Russia and we were hoping that the decision will be in this year, in particular, given the amount of material, the decision will be next year and by jurisdiction, and in fact this issue,” she said on air “channel 5” on Tuesday evening.

The Deputy Minister noted that Ukraine has achieved some success in the lawsuits against Russian property in the Crimea and this can be an incentive for private investors to submit claims.

As reported, the hearings on the case started on 27 March 2017 .

The claims included loss of assets and the cost of loss of business of the Bank in the Crimea and around $1 billion.
