VIENNA, June 3. /TASS/. The Austrian authorities impose restrictions on air traffic over Vienna and surrounding regions during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Austria on 5 June. This was reported on Sunday the Ministry of defence of the Republic.

“The armed forces of Austria on the occasion of the working visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his meetings with Federal President Alexander van der Bellena in emergency mode will provide control of the Austrian airspace. In this regard, there will be restrictions to air traffic over parts of Vienna, the Federal provinces lower Austria and Burgenland”, – stated in the press service of the defense Ministry’s statement.

In total for the security of the visit and the local population from the air will be attracted more than 800 soldiers, 10 military aircraft and seven helicopters. “Will be carried out air patrols – added in the military. – The aim is the early identification of potential threats to timely action”.

The defense Ministry warned that patrols of military aircraft and helicopters can increase the noise in the sky over Vienna, and asked the public to treat with understanding to conduct this operation.

Earlier, the press service of the Kremlin announced that on June 5, Vladimir Putin will visit Austria on a working visit. During the trip, will hold talks with Federal President of Austria, Alexander van der Ballena and Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz.
