The mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko said that the city authorities are preparing in 2018 to open some new attractions, which will help to attract more tourists in Kiev, reported the press service of the mayor of Kiev.

“May 26 will be the final of the Champions League. We expect a lot of tourists. Our goal is that each of them came home, told me what a wonderful city Kiev. The tourism industry is one of the income items of each city. Last year the Russian capital was visited by half a million tourists. This year we expect two and a half million guests. I am convinced that Kiev has great potential for tourism, and we are developing it. This year will be updated, in particular, the Vladimir hill, Avenue of artists, Landscape alley. We will soon open a very beautiful staircase from Landscape alley to the tract, Potters Kozhemyaka. To settle the area around St. Andrew’s Church,” – said V. Klitschko .

According to him, each tourist on average spends in Kiev, $150 per day, which is also investing in the economy of the capital.

It is also noted that many visitors come to the city in the autumn, when Kyiv will host the 56th Congress of the world Boxing Council (WBC). Such a great Boxing event will take place in Ukraine for the first time.

“We expect the visit of many guests, and over 600 Congress participants from more than 100 countries of the world – the stars of Boxing, promoters, referees and sports officials. This is another great opportunity to attract more visitors to Kiev, to present our city. And my mission as mayor, to do everything to come to us as many people as possible,” said the mayor.
