The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to allocate about 4 million UAH on liquidation of consequences of the fire at the Odessa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business and compensation for the families of the victims.

The corresponding question will be considered at the government meeting on Wednesday, December 11, reports the “governmental portal”.

After Cabinet approval, the funds will be transferred to the state service for emergency situations and the Odessa regional state administration from the reserve Fund of the State budget of Ukraine.

As reported at 10:12 on 4 December in the Odessa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business on the third floor of a six storey educational building was on fire, the area of which reached 4 thousand sq. m. divisions of gschs rescued and evacuated 40 persons (12 persons brought by staircases 10 people were removed by the units of gas and smoke protective service, 18 people using stairs and lifts) of about 400, were in the building at the time of the fire.

At 14:18 on the same day the fire was localized, but the putting out individual fires and smoldering plots continued for a long time.

As a result of fire killed 12 people, the fate of the six remains unknown. In hospitals there are nine out of 30 victims.

Upon a fire criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 270 (violation established by the legislation of fire safety requirements) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. December 5 and 6 were declared mourning days in Odessa, December 8, in Ukraine.
