The U.S. Congress and the White house was closed to visitors because of the spread of coronavirus. So, officers of the Senate and the house of representatives Thursday, March 12, issued a letter which stated that the wider public are not allowed in the U.S. Congress, reports TASS.

It is noted that the Capitol will be closed to visitors until April 1. The American legislators, staff members of Congress, journalists and official delegations will retain access to the Congress and all other buildings of the Senate and house of representatives.

Also, the White house will cease to conduct tours due to the spread of a new type of coronavirus, according to the Fox News channel. It is noted that such measures were taken as a precaution.

Earlier it was reported that 24 States introduced a state of emergency due to the coronavirus. According to the latest data, the U.S. recorded more than 1,200 cases of infection COVID-19, 37 people died.

It was also reported that trump has banned the entry from Europe to the United States for 30 days.
