Ukraine’s constitutional court (CC) refused to open production on representation of 45 people’s deputies regarding the constitutionality of the law on the State Bureau of investigation (RRT), in which we are talking about the report of the Director of RRT by the President, Parliament and government.

“Agreed Definition of the Grand chamber of the COP on refusal to open constitutional proceedings in the part of the constitutional petition of 45 people’s deputies concerning conformity with the Constitution (constitutionality) of provisions of part two of article 23 of the law on “State Bureau of investigation” from 12 November 2015, No. 794–VIII”, – reported on the website of the COP.

Under part two of article 23 of the law “On the State Bureau of investigation,” Director of the RRG informs the President of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers on major issues of activities of RRT and its subsidiaries, on the performance of its tasks, compliance with legislation, rights and freedoms of man and citizen. In addition, each year before 1 April the Director of the RRG submits to the President of Ukraine, the Parliament and the government a written report on the activities of RRT in the previous year.
