In Washington fear that the threat of coronavirus can prevent China to fulfill the obligations of the first phase of trade agreements and to buy enough American products, said the head of the U.S. Treasury Steven Mnuchin.

“Based on our current projections of the virus, we don’t care” – gives the Western media the word Mnuchin.

“I don’t expect them (China – Interfax) are issues with the performance of its obligations”, – he said.

However, the Minister acknowledged that the spread of coronavirus affect the growth of the world economy and the US economy.

Media recall that earlier economists had warned that the suspension of work of the enterprises in connection with the threat of coronavirus, as well as restrictions on air travel may have a negative effect on US and global growth in the first quarter of 2020.

Previously, the government of China has encouraged the production company to stop work until 9 February to contain the spread of coronavirus.

In January the U.S. and China signed the first phase of trade agreements. This phase seeks to build on China’s purchases of U.S. goods and services by $200 billion over the next two years.
