In the Ministry of defense cited three reasons for the exacerbation of fighting in the Donbass.
Press Secretary of the Ministry of defence on ATO Andrei Lysenko considers that the escalation of hostilities in the Donbas is connected with the so-called “ultimatum” of the militants with the arrival in the occupied territory units of the Main intelligence Directorate of the General staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the next “humanitarian convoy”.
About Lysenko said at a briefing in Kiev. “In fact, according to our intelligence reports, in recent days in the ranks of the militants also included units of the Main intelligence Directorate of the General staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, who arrived and joined units of militants”, – he said.
Also, according to Lysenko, the escalation of hostilities can be attributed to the fact that the so-called 61 “humanitarian convoy” yesterday, drove on the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, Lysenko convinced that the intensification of fighting may also be due to the fact that the so-called power of “DNR” and “LNR” declared the ultimatum with a blockade of the territory and the railway tracks on the uncontrolled territory of Donbass.
As reported previously in the press center of the ATO headquarters said that the fighters for the last days carried out 117 attacks in the area ATO.
On 27 February, the leaders of the terrorist organizations “DNR” and “LNR” Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Carpenter said about the demand to remove the blockade of Donbass until March 1.
