MPs and the government is discussing the option of postponing the abolition of VAT reimbursement during export of oilseeds from 1 March to 1 September 2018, said the first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Maxim Martyniuk.

“We can say that the format of its adoption (amendment – if), which does not provide for extensive discussion, to be unacceptable and calls into question the predictability of the investment climate in the country. We are consulting with members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on taxation and customs policy, and develop steps to mitigate the impact of this innovation. In particular, a variant of the deferral to 1 September 2018,” he said during an online press conference on Friday.

According to M. Martyniuk, the amendment is not a government, it is initiated in the Parliament and now the Ministry conducts calculations on its impact on agricultural producers and the processing sector .

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the abolition of VAT reimbursement during export of soybean, rapeseed and sunflower since March 1, 2018.
