The INNOPOLIS, Kazan /TATARSTAN/, may 26. /TASS/. Digital technology ahead of the educational program for training specialists in the field of cybersecurity. This was reported TASS head of information security Center of ANO “University Innopolis” Sergey Petrenko on the sidelines of the conference “Digital industry industrial Russia” (CIPROFLOXACIN).

“According to the Ministry of education, we have a year produced about 5 thousand specialists with higher education, the need up to 2020 is estimated at 21 thousand the Problem is that during the five years of training, because the technology changes every six months, if the program is not close to the practice, the doctor comes out and is not in demand,” he said, answering a question from TASS about the shortage of personnel to cybersecurity after the panel discussion .

As an added Petrenko, to avoid such a situation at Innopolis University practiced the concept of business-specific modules of the enterprise from the very beginning, students are involved in projects.

Education lags behind technology

The lack of staff along with other reasons is a problem in ensuring cybersecurity. According to Petrenko, over half of the cyber attacks committed in the moment in Russia, it is impossible to detect and prevent.

“The number of computer attacks increases, the threat is growing, and we face well-known and new. And what we now know, is about a 45% respectively 55% of all attacks is that we can’t even detect, not to mention the fact, to prevent” he said.

At the moment, leaders in cyber-attacks enterprises in Russia are Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as the frameworks are more developed compared to other regions. The second highest number of cyber-attacks enterprises of the Urals. Tatarstan is among five disadvantaged in the field regions.

Cybersecurity in the schools

The topic of security was one of the key and a panel discussion on the development of neural networks and unmanned vehicles. As noted by the head of the group of experts on strategic technologies in Microsoft (Russia) Konstantin Kichinsky, now the tech giants are afraid of threats that could bring their respective technologies (neural network and other), as well as their use for evil purposes. In this regard, such companies as Google, Amazon, Microsoft and others share the results of their research in these areas and try to interact.

“As practice shows, the issue of cybersecurity is very serious today. One of the clearest cases – the attack of the virus WannaCry created on the basis of the fall in the share of cyber-weapons U.S. intelligence. (…) The incident with WannaCry shows how vulnerable modern intelligent systems before the cyber criminals. Therefore, the question of protection of the UAV against cyber attacks is vitally important to decide it now”, – said the Advisor to the Executive Director of the “Association of Avtonet” Valentine Gravirov.

Moreover, according to the Director of trends and analysis and control of cyber security risks PwC Russia Roman Chaplygin, cybersecurity should be one of the subjects taught in schools. Thus, the world will be able in the future to protect against mass malware attacks, such as those that occurred around the world in may 2017.


From 24 to 26 may 2017 in Innopolis held a conference “the Digital industry industrial Russia-2017” (CIPROFLOXACIN) and the Russian Internet forum (RIF). The conference CIPROFLOXACIN representatives of industry, technology industry, Telecom, defense industry, venture investors and government agencies on the development of the digital economy, non-oil exports and cybersecurity.

This year the CIPROFLOXACIN is held together with the regional stage of the Russian Internet forum. A large part of the panel discussions will be devoted to “Digital economy” and the programme that is being prepared in the government of Russia.

The conference takes place over 20 round tables devoted to problems of development in Russia of digital economy, information security, Internet of things and new approaches to management of economic and production processes – the Blockchain, Big Data and artificial neural networks. The conference is held with the support of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation, the strategic partner of the state Corporation “rostec”.
