Ukraine news: the European court of human rights called for a convict in Russia is Ukrainian Oleg Sentsov to stop the hunger strike.
The European court of human rights took a decision on interim measures in respect of illegal convict in Russia Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov who is on hunger strike demanding the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia.
About it reported in a press release from the court.
“The court takes a decision on interim measure of care for Oleg Sentsov and encourages him to stop hunger strike”, – stated in the message.
The court urged Russia to provide Sentsov appropriate treatment, and the Director offered to accept the treatment to save his life .
It is noted that according to article 39 of the regulations of the Court, the ECHR has no right to tell any state signatory to the European Convention on human rights on the provisional measures that should be implemented without delay. A provisional measure is prescribed in the situation when there is a threat of causing irreparable harm.
