The European Parliament may introduce the screening of travelers prior to arrival in the country of the European Union. For this I want to use a European system of information on the journey, and authorization.
The members of the European Parliament on Thursday, July 5, will consider new rules for visa-free travel. They note that travelers from visa-free travel can be checked before arrival in the EU, using the European system of information on the journey and whilst logged in (ETIAS). About it reports Radio Freedom.
The idea can be implemented already in 2021.
According to the MEP from Hungary Kinga Gal, this check will not create a problem for regular travel ers.
“It will be a simple process. Just online checking that they can go before a trip to the EU,” she said.
Citizens of visa waiver countries will be required to complete an online form before travel. There will be questions in criminal cases in the past or a visit to the applicants conflict zones.
“This will enable authorities to determine whether any of the travelers be a threat before arrival in the EU. If there are such suspicions, travelers can refuse entry”, – stated in the message.
Cost authorization 7 euros. The entry permit will be in force for three years.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has extended the visa-free travel agreement with Serbia.
We will remind, on June 29 entered into force on visa-free regime between Ukraine and the island state in the Caribbean sea Antigua and Barbuda.
