The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian tennis Federation (OFWs) Vladimir Dmitriev is elected President of the European tennis Association (Tennis Europe)
The new President of the European tennis Association (Tennis Europe) became the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian tennis Federation (OFWs) Vladimir Dmitriev, the official Twitter of the organization. In this position, he was replaced by Frenchman Jacques Dupre, who headed the Association for nine years.
Dmitriev from 2004 to 2016 was Chairman of Vnesheconombank (VEB). In March 2016, he was elected Vice-President Trading-industrial chamber of Russia.
Elections of the head Tennis Europe took place in Sochi within the framework of the General Assembly of the Association. In the third — round of elections Dmitriev ahead of Finn Matti Virtanen. The Russians got 43 votes, his rival — 31 . Also President of Tennis Europe was claimed by the Serb Goran Djokovic, Italian Luizanna FOD and Croatia Predrag Stojcevic.
