DRVENGRAD /Mokra Gora, Serbia/ July 14. /TASS/. The festival of Russian music “Big”, established Serbian film Director Emir Kusturica, on Saturday will open in the ethno-village Drvengrad concert with the violinist Nemanja Radulovic and his ensemble Double sence, and a performance by the soloists of the State theatre in Belgrade. About it reported in a press-service of the show.
In the framework of the competition program of the festival for the sixth time will gather young musicians of Russia and Serbia. Pianists, vocalists, string players and wind instruments will compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze dolls, and without separation of the specialty – only age groups: from 13 to 17 years and 18 to 25.
To evaluate the performance of the contestants will be the international jury, chaired by the Dean of the Music Academy of Eastern Sarajevo Dragana of Kosharica .
“This competition is unusual is its “concurrently”, the main idea creative communication for young musicians from Russia and Serbia, stressed in an interview with TASS permanent member of the jury, pianist, people’s artist of Russia Yuri Rozum. – There is no atmosphere of competition, as in other international competitions, so they leave not exhausted, but enriched everyone’s eyes are burning”.
This year Russia at competition will present 27 artists from Moscow, Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk, Orenburg oblasts, the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous districts. “The idea is very important: raise the remote and show the world to children from distant cities,” said Rozum, adding that members have traditionally demonstrate a high level of training.
Within four days of the festival participants will not only auditions, but also the performances of world stars: pianist Denis Matsuev, violinists Nemanja Radulovic, Julian Rachlin and Roman Simovic with the festival Symphony orchestra “Great” guitarist Gary Lucas, jazz musicians, and master classes.

The festival of Russian music “Large” is since 2013 with the support of the company “Gazprom Neft”.
“Emir Kusturica understands that without Russian culture contemporary common culture is unthinkable, and openly preaches for many years. This is his greatest achievement despite the fact that today many European politicians are trying to restore their Nations against Russia,” said Rozum. “This is what is happening now during the world Cup: the changing attitude to the country, when people are confronted with our country, our people, our sport or our art,” said the pianist.
Every year special guests of the show have become celebrities of classical music. So, in 2017, the honorary guest of the festival was artistic Director of the Mariinsky theatre, conductor Valery Gergiev to conduct an open master class for the Serbian Symphony orchestra.
The show is held in the village of Drvengrad, built in the early 2000’s for a film titled “Life is a miracle” near the station of the narrow gauge railway that once connected Belgrade and Dubrovnik. Streets, squares and infrastructure bear the names of figures of culture and science: Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman, Nikita Mikhalkov, Stenly Kubrick, Nikola Tesla, and others.
