Investigators of the State Bureau of investigation has opened criminal proceedings on the fact of improper performance of official duties by employees of the Antimonopoly of Ukraine in the Odessa region, which led to the fire in the hotel “Tokyo star” and loss of life. Reports a press about it-service GBR.

“At the moment investigators RRT investigative actions are carried out to check the performance of official duties by employees of the Antimonopoly of Ukraine in Odessa region during the implementation of their audits and events with the aim of monitoring of system of fire safety”, – is told in the message.

In the RRT said that the criminal proceedings opened under part 2 St. 367 criminal code of Ukraine (negligence).

Recall information about the fire in the hotel “Tokyo star” vul in Odessa enrolled in SES today at 01:34am. To extinguish the fire left 13 pieces of equipment and 65 personnel. The fire managed to be liquidated only three hours later, at 04:32 am.

In fact militiamen opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 270 (violation established by the legislation of fire safety requirements) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The police considers three versions of causes of the fire in the Odessa hotel “Tokyo Star”.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that “the answer will not only direct perpetrators of the fire. The answer will be Vadim Black, the owner of the hotel.” Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman instructed to begin large-scale inspections of hotels and resorts in Ukraine.
