MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Forward Madrid “Atletico” Fernando Torres has suffered a serious head injury in the match of 25 Matchday of the championship of Spain on football against “Deportivo”. The meeting in La Coruna ended with the score 1:1.

In the “Deportivo” the goal was scored by Florin Andon (13 minutes), atlético scored by Antoine Griezmann (68).

At the 84th minute of the match, 32-year-old Torres fell and hit his head on the turf after a collision with the player “Deportivo” and lost consciousness. Teammates Torres immediately attempted to render aid to the attacker, after which he accompanied by medical staff atlético carried on a stretcher from the field . In the room under the stands Torres regained consciousness.

The press service of “Atletico” reported that immediately after the incident, Torres was sent to the hospital to determine the severity of traumatic brain injury where the player will spend the next night. It is noted that the morning will be carried out a full inspection.
