The Russian Embassy in Belarus have received official notification from the Belarusian foreign Ministry about the arrest of the KGB of Belarus three citizens of Russia. About it reported the press Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Belarus Alexei Moskalev.

They were arrested in connection with suspicion of committing a crime under part 2 of article 431 of the criminal code (bribery).

“In this regard, in accordance with established practice, sent a request to the competent Belarusian authorities on the access of consular officials to the specified citizens of the Russian Federation”, — added in the Embassy.

Alex Moskalev also added that the notice of the foreign Ministry of Belarus reported that detainees are held for the same counts related to the recent high-profile arrests in Belarus.

We will remind, on may 4, the Belarusian KGB has officially confirmed the detention of the Director of “Beltelecom” Sergei Sivodedov for taking bribes. With him, the security forces detained the briber is a citizen of the Russian Federation because He gave Sivodedov money “for assistance in the supply of telecommunications equipment”.

In addition, details became known of detention of the Deputy Secretary of the security Council Andrei Vtyurin. He was caught red-handed when receiving 148 600 U.S. dollars from the representative of the Russian commercial structure for promoting its interests in Belarus, the Ministry reported.
