Jacques Chirac

Chirac was President of France from 1995 to 2007.

In Paris was the funeral of former President of France Jacques Chirac, RBC reports, citing Le Figaro.

The ceremony was held at Montparnasse cemetery, where are buried the daughter of Chirac, Lawrence, who died in 2016. The funeral was attended by several dozen people, mostly relatives and friends of the former President.

The official farewell ceremony for the Chirac was well attended by about 80 current and former heads of foreign States.

Lori died on September 26, in the family circle. He is the 22nd President of France, in this capacity, he worked from 1995 to 2007. Later, Chirac became a lifetime member of the constitutional Council of the country.

The TV channel BFM TV reported that the last public speech of Chirac passed in 2014, his health deteriorated after a heart attack in 2005. The former President was hospitalized in 2010, 2015 and 2016.

The current President of France Emmanuel macron announced on 30 September a day of national mourning for Chirac. “We French are losing statesman, whom we loved as much as he loved us,” he said.
