The French rider, who played for the British stables BWT Arden, Antoine Hubert died on Saturday during the race “Formula 2” on the Belgian track Spa Franciscan, said channel RTBF.

Twenty-two year old Hubert in the competition “Formula-2”, held on the sidelines of the Grand Prix “Formula 1”, had an accident in which at high speed collided with American Juan Manuel Correa and Japanese Marino Sato.

Hubert died from his injuries. Correa with a broken leg was taken to the hospital. Sato was injured.

The organizers cancelled the race.
