The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the intergovernmental agreement with Turkey on military-financial cooperation and the intergovernmental Protocol on the allocation of Ukraine in the years 2017-2021 the Turkish financial aid for $15 million.

The decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday.

As reported, in December 2016, the Ukraine and Turkey signed an intergovernmental agreement on military-financial cooperation and miproperty on the allocation of financial aid, providing Ankara to Kiev on an annual basis within five years of acquisition funds for the needs of the armed forces of Ukraine of the Turkish military goods and dual-use. In 2017 under the agreement the Turkish side will allocate for these purposes of $3.1 million.

The arrangements also include short-term training for soldiers of the APU in the training centers of the Turkish armed forces.

From the Ukrainian side the document was signed by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Sibiga, with the Turkish head of the Undersecretariat of defence industry of the Ministry of national defence of Turkey Ismail Demir.
