The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has defined a clear mechanism for granting the status of LPP to members of voluntary groups, said Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk
“The volunteers who participated in the ATO will receive the status of combatants”, – Goncharuk wrote in his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
According to him, the government has identified a clear mechanism for granting the status of LPP to members of voluntary groups.
“This is about justice. Volunteers will have benefits and social security as combatants. They will also be able to receive state social support, to help in social and professional adaptation after returning from military service,” – said Goncharuk.
As reported, on December 4 the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill No. 2045-1 “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on granting the status and social guarantees to individuals from among the participants of anti-terrorist operation” in General, by 329 votes 4 December. The document assumes the status of combatants and the appropriate social guarantees to fighters volunteer battalions, which are more than 30 days to perform combat tasks in the ATO area/OOS.
