TASS, August 3. The head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov considers it necessary to discuss the strengthening of measures of responsibility of airlines for the delay of Charter flights.

“These are very serious cases, they adversely affect the reputation and tour operator community, and our aviation companies. We have with regulators of air transportation – Ministry of transport, Federal air transport Agency to work together to ensure that such cases were not. It seems to us that, maybe it makes sense to think about toughening of sanctions for failure to provide appropriate high quality services”, – he told on Thursday on air of the TV channel RBC.

In late may, the airline “VIM-Avia” started to massively delay the flights from different airports, the company explained that the late arrival of aircraft from maintenance . To stabilize the situation, the airline partially reduced Charter program for the summer, eliminating 13 destinations, including Sochi, the Crimea, Turkey, Bulgaria. Also hours-long disruptions in the flight schedule was periodically observed for flights with the airline IFly.
