The President of the International Committee of the red cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer arrived in Ukraine with the visit and pointed out the surge of intensity of armed clashes in the East of the country.

“Arrived in Ukraine. For almost three years over the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine hangs the specter of war, the clashes again intensified,” wrote Peter Maurer on Monday in his microblog in the social network Twitter.

As reported on the official website of the Ukrainian Parliament, on Monday, March 6 planned meeting with P. Maurer first Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group of the Trilateral contact group Irina Gerashchenko .
