The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with the head of the International monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, during which he received from her a certain promise. It is reported by RIA “Novosti”, reports “Russian conversation”.

According to Lagarde, the IMF will continue to help Ukraine, despite the change of government and the appearance of the head of state Vladimir Zelensky.

“I thanked President Poroshenko for the close cooperation during its presidency, in which Ukraine has successfully returned to macroeconomic stability and growth after the deep economic crisis of the 2014-15 years,” she said.

Lagarde said that the parties came to a common understanding that “much remains to be done to complete the transformation of Ukraine: the Fund stands ready to continue to support Ukraine in these efforts.

The incumbent head of state Petro Poroshenko signed a decree according to which head of the personal security of the President of Ukraine Yuri Fedorov is leaving his post.

In addition, since the beginning of the election campaign in Ukraine, the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky emphasized publicly supported all opponents of incumbent President Petro Poroshenko.
