The Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine intended to ensure the rule of law and the legitimacy of the electoral process in the parliamentary elections, and counts on the support of international partners in this process, said the head of the interior Ministry Arsen Avakov.

As informs on Wednesday the press service of the Ministry Avakov during the meeting with the Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine bartoshem Tsihotsky said that the interior Ministry is set to enforce law and order and legality of the electoral process in all its phases, and counts on the support of international partners, as well as effective and objective work of the observers.

“We expect public evaluation of our work from our European, including Polish colleagues,” – said Avakov.

In turn Tsihotsky thanked the Minister for warm reception and assured of his willingness to work.

The Ambassador also praised the work of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in the arrest and extradition to Poland of a citizen of Georgia, who was wanted for committing crimes on the territory of Poland.

As abeceda, one of the priorities in bilateral cooperation between the interior Ministry of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland is the upgrade of the legal base.
