News of Ukraine: the Ministry of internal Affairs collects an emergency meeting to discuss tightening security measures on the roads.

After two tragic accidents that claimed the lives of 15 people, the Ministry of internal Affairs expresses its concern about the state of safety on the roads and collects an emergency meeting to discuss measures to prevent accidents. It is reported by Ukrainian Pravda with reference to the press service of the interior Ministry.

It is noted that special attention at the meeting will be paid to the security of passenger transport.

According to first Deputy Minister of internal Affairs Sergey Yarovoy, he is waiting for a report from the heads of departments of the national police in the Zhytomyr and Mykolaiv regions .

“I demand from the leadership of patrol police urgent, effective and efficient steps for improving safety on roads in the midst of the holiday season. Emphasize the personal responsibility of leaders”, – quotes its words a press-service.

According to infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan, the government created a Commission to investigate the causes of accidents.

“In both cases, the cause of the accidents was a flagrant violation of traffic rules. Today the Commission will hold its first meeting to investigate these tragedies,” he writes in Facebook.

As reported, on Friday morning, there were two large-scale road accident involving a minibus taxi in Zhytomyr and Mykolaiv regions. In the Zhytomyr region killed 10 people, in Nikolaev – 5, total 22 injured.
