The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin believes that the introduction of visa regime with the Russian Federation will create significant problems, so the decision on the withdrawal of the biometric data when crossing the Ukrainian border for foreign citizens is optimal.

“Simple introduction of a visa… it will not give us the desired effect we seek. On the contrary: it will create significant problems in the context of Russia these problems will take advantage of in order to conduct as provocation and a deliberate policy restrictions for citizens of Ukraine who live in the occupied territory, on the territory of the occupied Crimea, to come to the territory of Ukraine”, – said the Minister during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

P. Klimkin said that the national security Council and defense of Ukraine adopted a decision on creation of the system that provides for the removal of biometric data of foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship at entry to Ukraine.

“Based on detailed analysis, it was decided, and we believe that this solution is optimal and the decision is supported by our friends and partners,” the diplomat added.

The Minister said that the approved of the national security Council system will be introduced gradually.
