MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. The international Olympic Committee (IOC) approved a change of sport nationality in South Korea for two Russian biathletes from Timofey Lapshin and Catherine Avvakumova that will be able to compete at the Olympic winter games 2018 in the South Korean part of the national team. On it informs Agency AFP.
Lapshin was twice winner of the world Cup in the relay in the national team of Russia. He has also a world championship silver in the pursuit. Avvakumov at the Universiade 2015 was the second in the pursuit race in 2016 won silver of the championship of Russia in the mass start. Athletes received the citizenship of South Korea in 2017.
Olympic games 2018 will be held in South Korean Pyeongchang from 9 to 25 February .
