MOSCOW, July 23. /TASS/. LDPR intends to pursue companies in the government of Russia as Minister for tourism, said on Monday the leader of the party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, introducing the candidate from LDPR on a post of the mayor of Moscow, Chairman of the Duma Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev.

“We will demand the introduction of the post of Minister of tourism. And in the future, if Degtyarev will not become mayor, we will achieve to become Minister of tourism or Moscow, or Russia,” he told reporters .
Zhirinovsky believes that tourism is the most backward industry in Russia, however, an improving trend there.
“Tourism – we may be the most backward industry, attention to [her] had not been given, the country was closed 70 years,” he said. According to Zhirinovsky, the situation is getting better in recent years. “Especially the championship [world Cup] showed that people want to come in the first place, of course, in Moscow”, – said the leader of the liberal Democrats.
Degtyarev was a candidate for mayor of Moscow in 2013. He has typed 2,86% of the votes and came fifth out of six.
Registration on elections of the mayor of Moscow were four candidates: Chairman of the Duma Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev (LDPR), former Deputy of the Moscow city Duma and the state Duma Vadim Cumin (CPRF), head of the municipal district Taganskaya Ilya Sviridov (“Fair Russia”) and the acting mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, running as the independent candidate. Duma Deputy, founder of construction company “SU-155” Mikhail Balakin nominated by the political party “Union of citizens”, was challenged in Moscow city court the denial of registration, the court upheld his claim and ordered the Moscow city election Commission to register him as a candidate. Elections of the capital mayor will be held on 9 September, in uniform day of voting.
