ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow region/, July 18. /TASS/. Multifunctional lightweight fighter MiG-35 performs a demonstration flight at the MAKS-2017. This was announced by the CEO of the RAC “MiG” Ilya Tarasenko.

“Today we are going to do the flying. Start at MAKS-2017 to conduct negotiations with potential customers,” he said, adding that a number of customers “have already expressed interest (in the plane – approx. TASS)”.

Tarasenko did not specify who exactly is interested in MiG-35, but noted that for RAC “MiG” major markets “are the markets of India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.” Potential customers are around 30 countries where it now operates MiG-29, he added .

The Director General noted that the MiG-35 may be of interest to customers, advanced technical characteristics, including means of destruction, as well as its cost, which is 20-25% below the prices of machines from competitors.
