The Ministry of economic development and trade (MEDT) is considering additional financing of an Export credit Agency (ECA) through the review of the budget financing in the second half of 2018 or funds of international financial organizations, said the Deputy head of Department – sales representative of Ukraine Nataliya Mykolska.
“Consider options for revising budget financing in the second half of 2018 or raising funds from international financial organizations for financing of export credit agencies”, – she said after a government meeting on Wednesday.
As reported, according to estimates of the Ministry the establishment of such institutions will require 346 million, of which UAH 200 million budgeted for 2018.
N. Mykolska also stressed that the ECA should be launched in 2018, which corresponds to the adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of the export strategy .
As noted by the trade representative of Ukraine, in General, the adoption of an export strategy to 2021, will simplify the cooperation of all authorities, exporters and business associations.
“For exporters it will be clear what the government’s plans, what they can demand from each Central body of Executive power in order to create the infrastructure to export the changed regulatory environment to make it all work comprehensively. It is also an opportunity to stop some of the regulatory acts of the government, which are contrary to the export strategy,” she said.
According to her, the Ministry, the adoption of the export strategy will influence the overall system of government decisions and to promote legislative initiatives in Parliament.
